I LOVE Midwest, and have flown on you many times. The service is so GREAT! I love everything. I love the seats, CHEAP fares, cookies, and service. Please do not merge with AirTran.
- Alex Pourazari
I have been a loyal customer to Midwest Airlines since 1993. Their customer service, their spacious seating, their "best care in the air", is very important to the particular customer.
- Clay Rehm
Don't sell to AirTran...what terrible news. Have any of you people flown AirTran to see how bad they are? I have 2 free flights with them and will PAY to fly the best care in the air.
- Ed Skerrett
I have always been satisfied with Midwest Airlines. It offers a service that in my opinion could not be maintained if AirTran takes over.
- Jean Schwartz
Thanks for rejecting the AirTran offer. I do not wish to fly with them… only with Midwest Airlines. The best care in the air!
- Richard Rosenwald
Should the takeover bid be accepted, I will no longer fly your airline, which would be a terrible loss for me (and, I would hope, for you, too, as I am constantly promoting your airline to friends and family).
- Matthew Rassette
I just want to say that those of us who fly regularly on business and pleasure trips out of Milwaukee to places across the country truly appreciate and value the quality, friendliness, efficiency, and safety record of Midwest Airlines.
- Margaret Otwell
I've been raving about how wonderful Midwest is since 1999 when I first moved to Wisconsin and discovered it. I know I'm not the only customer who dreads the possibility of Air Tran taking over Midwest. Please don't let it happen!
- Elizabeth Anderson
My wife and family and I have all found Midwest to be a great company, very responsive to our needs and very supportive of our entire Milwaukee and South Eastern Wisconsin area. I see good things ahead for all of us if you can preserve your independence.
- Ronald Retherford
A few years ago, my husband worked as an aviation technician with Midwest. He loved it, we loved the traveling! Still fly only Midwest whenever we can! Thanks for staying!!!
- Brenda Brown
No other airline makes me feel like a special family member. From the smiling faces of the pilots and flight attendants to the comfortable accommodations (seats,) and especially the cookies, I call Midwest Airlines my home away from home and my number one choice for travel.
- Donna Basterash
I hope that Midwest continues to turn down any future offers for take overs. I am happy that today the most recent offer was turned down. I do not fly often, maybe once or twice per year. But when I do fly I only fly Midwest. I have always had great service not only at the airport, but over the phone and most importantly in the air. Thank you for being my hometown airline.
- Stephen Oakes
Midwest Airlines is a shining example of the hospitality and friendliness of the people of Wisconsin. I am very happy that Midwest has avoided a takeover.
- Mary Kay Hall
When I go online to make reservations for a flight, I don't even look at other airlines' websites...I go straight to Midwest. I don't think I could go back to flying other airlines, so we must keep Midwest in Milwaukee!
- Michele Adler
My husband and I fly Midwest almost exclusively. There are times when can not depending on where we are going. I am a frequent flyer and have only the best comments about "the best care in the air". In the past several years my family has been desamated by cancer and each time I have had to either have emergency flights or change flight plans the people I have dealt with have been the greatest. Including losing my beloved sister the day I was to return to WI and changing my flight to return one week later. I really appreciate the customer care and also love the cookies. Keep up the great service and work we here in South East WI love you all.
- Laura Cannata
Even though I have a little inside information on how Midwest, working at the hangar for a summer and having a mom who's worked there for years, when given a choice, ME (I'm old school), is my first airline choice any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I'd like to say hay to everyone I've met and/or worked with at Midwest.
- Joe Jozwowski
I had always flown Midwest whenever flights were going to my destinations. When I moved out of state, second to msising family and friends was the loss of flying Midwest except to and from Milwaukee. I have not vacationed since moving back to Milwaukee, but I'm VERY happy to know that when I can coordinate my work vacations with semester breaks, that I wil be able to choose Midwest. Had "that other airline" been successful in their takeover attempts, I would not have flown with them - even if it meant driving to another city to use a different airline.
VIVA LA COOKIE!
- Justine Filapek
I have family in NC and we are all very excited your airlines is going back to service NC! You will always have our business! Please do your best at fighting off Air Trans. We love our Best Care In The Air and want you to keep it that way! Keep the Cookie!!!!!! :)
- Barb Rupp
Don't change anything or sell out to AirTran. We love your airline.
- Jennifer Chramega
My husband and I have been Midwest flyers for over 10 years and love your airline. We have always enjoyed your special service. About 5 years ago, we flew to Florida for our annual 2 week vacation. My daughter realized the next day that she left her walkman on the airplane. When we arrived at the gate for the trip home, the attendant looked in the cupboard and there was my daughter's walkman 2 weeks later. Only at Midwest would this have happened. My husband was telling everyone that Midwest is the best airline in the world! Please persist in rejecting Airtran's offers!
Thank you from the Schaefer family!
- Debra Schaefer
I will not fly UNLESS I CAN FLY MIDWEST. I MOST CERTAINLY WILL NOT FLY AIR TRAN. I just came back from a Midwest flight to Tampa Florida. It was a MOST BEAUTIFUL FLIGHT, AS ALL OF THE FLIGHTS HAVE BEEN THAT I have TAKEN ON MIDWEST. MARIAN j. SCHUTZ
- Marian J. Schutz
I have used Midwest Airline since my middle daughter attended college in New York in 1991. Thank you for giving me peace of mind (not to mention affordable tickets). Love your airline, hate the few times I have had to use another airline.
- Gail
I LOVE MIDWEST AIRLINES! Thank you so much for not taking Air Trans' offer! The name Air Trans' in and of itself spelled "transition." Thank you again. I will fly Midwest over any other airline.
- Karen Ann Lee
As someone who flies over 100,000 miles a year, I appreciate what Midwest Airlines offers. Air Tran does not even come close to offering the same travel experience and would be a tremendous let down for frequent flyers or those who travel occassionally. While Midwest is very competitive, they are worthy of additional costs and I have and will continue support that.
If left without Midwest Airlines, I would travel on another airline.
- Scott Sanders
I do not fly often but, when I do I always look for a Midwest flight first. Not only are you the best carrier in this area, you have been a responsible corporate citizen. For that I try to give my loyalty as much as I can. It will be a dark day if an operation such as AirTran succeeds in this uninvited grab. They have not been the citizen you have and they can not offer the service you do. Milwaukee and the whole area needs you as does the air line industry. You set the example of what an airline can be.
- Eric J. Goelz
We need to keep the "Best Care in the Air" here in Milwaukee. Midwest is an integral part of our community with their continual support. We need You.
- Sherryl Wedel
Midwest is the hometown airline, and many of or friends and family not only fly Midwest, but are employed by Midwest. Many jobs would be at risk if Air Tran took over!
- Catherine Hall
I am originally from California and as such use Midwest to fly there to visit friends and family as much as possible. In fact, Midwest is one of the few, if not the only, airline that flies direct to San Francisco. I recommend Midwest to all my friends and family when they come here and they are impressed. I love the Customer Service, short lines, and of course, the cookie. It is truly the best domestic airline ever, and it would be very tragic to have something low class like AirTran take it over. I'm afraid of what the Midwest will turn out afterwards.
- Margaret Kressin
Please save Midwest Airlines. Airtran's hostile takeover is wrong ant they should respect the right of Milwaukeans and Kansas Citians to have their hometown airline and enjoy their cookies. Your two across leather seating is a statement of luxury and somthing that another airline does not offer. Please fight this battle strong!!
- Dan Ries
Please, please, please to not give in to the terms of AirTran. Your airline is the one I go to first for all of my air travel and Midwest is the one I always seem to choose. You are a WI based company and I believe that is where you belong. I truly believe that your service and quality will go by the wayside is AirTran becomes the parent company. I use your service at times out of Green Bay when economical, otherwise I drive to Milwaukee. Midwest is my airline and hope it stays that way. Oh yes, please do not eliminate the cookies...just one perk that makes your airline the airline of the skies. Thanks...for your excellent service!!!
- Carol A Sisel
The Midwest staff are very friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. I am even impressesd at the pilots friendliness as you board and unboard the plane. I hope that Midwest is here to stay !
- Pam Wilkum
Save the cookie . . . save the wide leather seats . . . save the leg room . . . save the professionalism . . . save the great destinations . . . save the passenger loyalty . . . save the employee teamwork . . . save the safety record . . . save the fabulous
meals . . . save the onboard hospitality . . . save the honesty and integrity . . . save the Midwest Miles Program members . . . save the feeling of "family" . . . save the commitment to providing the "best care in the air" . . . save Milwaukee's "gem" . . . save Midwest Airlines and Midwest Connect . . . save our hometown airline!
Amy B. Michael
Senior Flight Attendant
Midwest Connect
- Amy B. Michael
I flew Tran Air 2 times. Both times the flights were overbooked and people were asked to take different flights. What type of service is that? There are a number of seats and when they are all sold, there are no more available. That is not rocket science. I love my airline and please don't make a grave mistake.
- Laura L Anderson
Regarding the Air Tran takeover:
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Midwest must be doing something right or it wouldn't make such an attractive target for takeover. May they continue to provide quality air service from their Milwaukee base for a long, long time.
- Elizabeth Fedyn
ersonally have been proud to have Midwest be right here in Milwaukee and have recommended it to many frineds and relatives. I can fly directly to Massachusetts or conneticutt to see my daughter and family and noe they fly Midwest too! when they come to see us. Thanks for Keeping MIdwest here!
- Sheryl K Hurula
I flew Midwest the first time a couple years back! It was exactly as you say: The Best Care In The Air. I would not fly any other airline unless there was no other choice! Please stay strong and keep what most of the world has lost- Customer Service With A Smile! Thanks!
- Roger L. Stoltz
Midwest is the best way to fly!
Other airlines do not compare.
- Michele Schmidt
Count me in the ranks with those who would pay somewhat more to fly Midwest over any other airline! Your service is second to none, but don't kid yourselves, it's all about the seats and the cookies!!! ;-) Seriously though, I fly often and I always check Midwest FIRST to see if flights are available to my destination. Keep indepent, keep up the good work, and I'll keep promoting you to all my friends and business aquaintences!
Jesse Bentley, Muskego, WI
- Jesse Bentley
Midwest is my kind of airline!
- Kathleen Herfel
My first choice for flying to Fort Myeres, FL has always been midwest. My parents have a second home on Marco Island and this September my Fiance and I will be celebrating our honeymoon there. I would love to be able to fly your airlines, even though it is not a direct flight that time of year. I believe you provide the best service. I have been hesitant to book a flight with the possibility of a take over in ownership. Although I was pleased to hear the board declined the offer today, I am still hesitant for fear of booking and then not having a flight. I am hoping, as others are, that this was the final offer. In the case that it isn't, how will customers be advised for future planning?
PS, even without the cookies, you are a classy airline!
Carolyn Prange
- Carolyn Prange
I've loved flying Midwest Airlines for 20 years and want to keep flying it for at least another 20. It's the best care in the air and a great company. Thanks for rejecting the offer.
- Corrine Bauer
Milwaukee has a lot of screwed up politicians, bad weather, unfriendly business climate, expensive taxes, bad weather; we need something good here, owned and operated here.
- Jeff Baranek
Midwest Airlines was created and operates for the people of the Midwest, and has operated service to cities other airlines call "fly-overs" for over 20 years. They take the time to ask us how we feel and what we want. They know us because the ARE us.
- Karen
hang in there do not sell you are the only airline with any sense of custmer service !!!
- marina mahaney
Keep fighting! I just bought some stock so i can vote at the shareholders' meeting.
Bill Griffiths
- William Griffiths
Every time I hear another announcement by AirTran, I shake my head and think "They just don't get it." If they don't get it now, when they are trying to appeal to the passengers of the Midwest, what makes them think they will even try to get it once they are our only option?
- Karen Aeraen
If AirTran feels they could service the Midwest better, why haven't they done so in the past 20 years? They were welcome to come in at anytime and go head-to-head w/ the best care in the air, but they didn't.
- Karen Aeraen
Please do not let AirTran take over your great airline!!! Keep up the great work!
- Michael Steichen
Please don't get taken over. Please do keep up the great work with ontime arrivals and I'll fly you whenever I can.
- Ronald Jetty
I was so happy to hear the vote against Air Trans take over this morning. I am against any hostile takeover. Thank you so much for your vote.
- Virginia Schomich
We always check Midwest first when making airline arrangements. It is one of the best things Milwaukee has to offer!!!
- Betty Warras
I was a past flight attendant on another airline and appreciate the first class customer service on Midwest Airlines. My husband and I only fly on Midwest Airlines. We are proud to say we live in Milwaukee, home base to Midwest Airlines. I believe the share holders would be very short sited if they do not vote to keep Midwest Airlines.
- Mary Lee Calvelli
I fly Midwest exclusively about five times a year. At work, my responsibilities include arranging travel for team members and executives, and there too my first and by-far-preferred choice is always Midwest. There is simply no comparison to other area airlines. I choose Midwest specifically for its 2x2 seating, superior customer service, and local business pride. AirTran is just one more mass-market airline with crappy seating, service, and reputation. Their interest is not in Midwest as a superior company, but in getting a foot-hold to O'Hare, which is an additional insult to Milwaukee business pride. I very much hope Midwest will resist the AirTran take-over.
- Nicole Fermanian
We LOVE MWA.. we avoid flying any other airline at all possible costs. You are the best! Keep up the "best care in the air".
- Kim Ypma
Don't sell out. Hang it there. I'm a new investor. I bought the stock in support of the Best care in the Air.
- Bill Fabian
The air line is absolutely perfect as is. We DO NOT need any changes. I find that the prices are not to high, and even if the prices might be SLIGHTLY higher, it is worth the extra we would pay. I would be very disappointed if the air line is sold just because the "investor" can make more money. From the past experiences Air Tram does not have the best record of following through on their promises anyway. PLEASE, do not reck a wonderful company......
- Judith Roth
I am concerned that any takeover of Midwest Air would result in a degrading of the serivce that makes Midwest my preferred airline. Specifically, the seating on the Signature Service flights. I live in northern Illinos, but choose to fly Midwest becuase of the serive and becuase of my distaste for O'Hare.
If Midwest is sold and the seating converts to standard cattle car seating, then I will probably cease flying on Midwest, and you would lose a customer.
- James Fuller
Please don't sell to AirTran. Your corporation is one of the things that makes Milwaukee great and air travel tolerable. Recently I took 3 different flights on Midwest and enjoyed them all immensely. The customer service offered by your airline is indicative of midwestern values of hospitality, friendship, and making people feel at home. Should your airline be taken over by AirTran, I'm sure that this would no longer be the case and it would be a very sad day for the city of Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin. Please stand strong and do not sell!!!
- Andrew M. Phillips
Keep the cookies coming!! Keep up the fight and tell Air Trans to take a flying hike to someone else's neighborhood! Wherever we go we want to go with Midwest Airlines!!We will NEVER fly with Air Trans or whatever their name is!!
- Rachel Fruchtman
PLEASE SAVE THE WONDERFUL SERVICE
- KATHLEEN BOGNAR
Now that I'm away from my family, who lives in the Midwest (KC), I try to fly Midwest every time I go home--the flights are direct and easy and so much better. If AirTran took over I'd have to fly the illogical DC-Atlanta-KC route and the planes would probably smell bad. Keep the cookie!
- Allison Schmidt
please do not join ata . they will ruin midwest and i will not fly you anymore. any further changes will guarantee that midwest customers will fly the other main carriers.
i like the large seating and the great service. this iwll change and i will not fly midwest. my family together buys 65- 100 tickets a year.
you do need to ask your reps who attended to the april 11th check in at MKE to be aliitle happier and nicer.
- mordechi ort
I am in full support of midwest airlines to remain a home based airline. I have nothing but the best experience with air travel regarding midwest airline and i will refuse to fly airtran and if they are successful in a hostile takeover i will never fly midwest airlines again. I feel that airtran is nothing but a big bully but i am confident that midwest airlines will hold their ground and show airtran that midwesterners are tough and stubborn and not easily moved. That's my opinion and i'm sticking to it.
- sue c norman
dear midwest air lines please do not sell to air tran.we love your airlines. we would be lost with out our airlines.thank you.with all our trust in GOD thank you for every thing.
- richard brunner
Not only do I love the cookies but I also love having Midwest Airline as our Home Town Airline in Milwaukee, you are the greatest airline and I don't want to see any change.
- Marcia Slafter
Over the years that I've found that the service tone and style of Midwest gives me the hometown feeling as soon as I check in at La Guardia,San Francisco, Phoenix and every other airport. For me the cookies are the finishing touch, but the work well only because every aspect of Midwest from the first contact to the baggage claim exudes hometown friendliness.
On the few times I've flown Air-Trans, I've found it like shopping at a mega warehouse store: only the cash is important; the passenger is treated like so much necessary baggage.
- William Thorn
While other airlines were cancelling flights during the recent snowstorm, Midwest actually brought a spare jet from their hub in Kansas City just to get us from Atlanta back to Milwaukee. For this and all the other times they have gone above and beyond, they distinguish themselves from other airlines.
- Tom Helminiak
Please keep what is unique to Milwaukee here as it is. There are so few things that come form this area to be proud about and Midwest is one of them. We don't want a low cost no frills carrier that will treat us like cattle.
- Michelle Shipley
Let's keep the "The best care in the air" the VERY BEST! DO NOT TENDER YOUR SHARES.
- Martin & Rozanne Goldstein
If Milwaukee's air market is so underserved as Air Tran's Joe Leonard claims, why doesn't he just expand and make Milwaukee an Air Tran hub? The reason, I believe, is that people do not fly Midwest for the lowest fares, they fly for a combination of competitive fares, customer service and non-stop flights to and from Milwaukee. That is value. Low fares with multiple transfers and airports and no customer service is not value. When given a choice between flying Midwest or Air Tran, people will fly Midwest even if Air Tran's fares are slightly lower. I think Mr. Leonard knows this and he wants to eliminate his potential competition. If Air Tran was actually serious about making Milwaukee a hub, then why don't they sponser anything in Milwaukee? Why don't they talk about moving their corporate headquarters or call center to Milwaukee? No, they are talking of closing the call center and corporate headquarters, the first sign of a company leaving. The reason to me is simple; once Midwest is eliminated, Air Tran will just make us all fly to Atlanta, like Delta does, to connect to flights. It is up to the stockholders and a business decision should be made on sound business advice. But I have not flown another domestic airline since my first flight on Midwest in 1996 and I hope to be able to continue to fly and independent and customer friendly Midwest Airlines Non-Stop to and from Milwaukee to places I like to travel to. Thanks Midwest for truly being the 'Best Care in the Air.'
- John Bennett
You have a good thing going....to many of our favorite places. Please don't change!
- Carl & Donna Rahmig
I Love Midwest they cannot leave... They Have made Milwaukee Special
- Jack Snow
I don't make a lot of money... I don't have a lot of possessions... but I value quality and service above all in an airline and that is what Midwest provides. Support the "hometown" airline!
- Kathryn Weber
I love Midwest Airlines! I fly it whenever I can. I have MS and am amazed at the consideration that I am shown by the employees of Midwest Airlines. I do not want any takeover to happen ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Alys Cristine Adams
We are relatively new to Wisconsin. My first flight on Midwest was last year from MKE to BOS and back. We also used Midwest to fly family from BOS here and back. I was extremely impressed. My husband and I now have reservations for 08/2007 for RT to BOS. This will be his first experience and he is looking forward to it.
Wish you flew to Reno!!!
Lynne
- Lynne Wickerham
I love to fly Midwest Airlines! It is the only airline that I enjoy flying on! The only reason I would ever use another airline is if I were going somewhere that Midwest did not fly. The plush leather seating and fresh chocolate chip cookies are fantastic! Please stay in Milwaukee and don't join up with another company!!!
- Jennifer Pries
I only fly Midwest Airlines, once had to use a different airline, what a nightmare!!!! But Midwest pulled me through and got me home to Milwaukee. All employees that I had contact with are EXCELLANT!! They go that extra mile and more for you. Keep up the good work. I don't want to lose that service. Thank You
- MARLENE SCOTT
Airline business is about service and you as a company have perfected it. There are no competitive gains you could earn from any other within your industry. Stay Midwest!
- Josie Buzz
I believe that Midwest Airlines should remain independent, and resist Air Tran's hostle takover attempt, regardless of their offer. There is no way that Air Tran can keep the elaborate promises that they are promising. NO way can they provide 215 departures per day. That would one departure every 6.74 minutes, 24/7. There is no way to keep that promise with the number of gates that they would have available, PLUS load, unload, celan and completely service that aircraft. Air Tran does in fact offer business class service on EVERY aircraft, however ONLY 12 seats, and sometimes at a hefty premium. Midwest Signature service offers ALL business class / 1st class seating throughouth the complete Aircraft. Midwest offers, for purchase meals on their flights. Air Tran doesn't offer ANY meals on ANY of its flights, regardless of the length of the flight. Midwest allows you to purchase alcoholic beverages on board for cash. Air Tran does not allow cash transactions. One is required to use a credit card to pay for alcoholic beverage purchases. Midwest offers on board in-flight entertainment, via Digi-Players, offering many video offerings, Air Tran offers XM satellite radio ONLY. NO OTHER FORM OF ENTERTAINMENT. One can already bring their CD, mini-disc, MP3 players, or IPOD's and liten to the music of their choice. Why do we care about XM satellite radio. Air Tran is attepting a HOSTILE TAKEOVER!!!!! Hostile takovers are carried out with the intrest of the company doing the takeover attempt, NOT TO BE A GOOD SMATITAN TO THE COMPANY IT IS TRYING TO TAKE OVER!!!!! If Air Tran is successful in taking Midwest over, I see stocks values dropping drastically, as people who invested for a QUICKIE GAIN, sell of their stocks. Air Tran wants to become the biggest airline. Midwest just wants to be THE BEST! MIDWEST AILRINES OFFERS SERVICE THAT IS ONE OF A KIND! AIR TRAN, WHICH PART OF "MIDWEST IS NOT FOR SALE" DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND???? a BUY OUT OR MERGER MAY BE THE BEST THING IN THE SHORT RUN, BUT A POOR CHOICE IN THE LONG RUN. KEEP ON SAYING NO, MIDWEST, REGARDLESS OF THE PRICE. One cannot put a price tag on the quality and home town loyalty, that Midwest has to offer!!!
- Walter Unglaub
I have been a loyal flier for many years, and would miss the service and hometown connection dearly. My Mom is employeed with the company and has never been happier with her job and the friends she has made. I know that other families depend on the income that your company generates for Milwaukee and Kansas. Tell Air Tran Milwaukee says NO THANK YOU!
- Julie Ann Bullen
AirTran has said that Milwaukee would be better served by lower fares, but from my experience Midwest already has the best fares for Milwaukee travelers - combined with unbeatable service.
As a loyal customer I completely support the decision to keep Midwest independent - and keep AirTran away!
- Ryan Decker
Hi:
We love you just the way you are. Keep up the great work!! We are so proud to have Midwest in our area and would hate to see AirTran put their mark on the company. Please do not change a thing - keep the cookies coming :)
- Susan Swendrowski
Keep up the good work! Don't let Air Tran bully you into a takeover. Milwaukee needs a customer oriented airline with Wisconsin values!
- Kent Moore
I think a hostile takeover by AirTran demonstrates what kind of company they are. Keep up the good work, Midwest!
- Matthew R. Baerbock
As an athletically built man my first choice for any flights is with Midwest. I've flown Airtran and I do not fit well in the three across seating and can not afford first class. Midwest is the only airline I can fly with any comfort thanks to the two across seating being the standard. Stay in the air Midwest, stay in Milwaukee and help out the strongmen competitors that need more room and their cookies!
- John Wietzel
Your decision to reject the lastest offer is the right decision. Midwest will be the only airline my family and I will travel solely based on your decision to stay. Thank You
- Thomas Windler
I don't trust Mr. Leonard and his promises, since business is business in his eyes and I believe he would retreat from his promises. I enjoy flying Midwest (I have not flown another airline other than those related to flight cancellation switches) in 3 years. Our company supports our use of Midwest for our travel because we to are a Milwaukee based company. Let's keep improving and put the nay-sayers down.
- Steve Miazga
I have flown both Airtran and Midwest in the last 3 months and the difference was shocking. With Airtran I was subjected to uncomfortable seats, extremely poor customer service both at the terminal and in the air, and a lack of caring for punctuality. My return flight with them was delayed an hour due to a 'service' error, and there was no attempt to make up the time. Midwest on the other hand was polite, helpful, the seats were comfortable, and they made me feel that my time was valuable. The return flight with them was also delayed an hour due to weather, and yet they managed to make up most of the time and got me home only 10 minutes late. By the way, both trips were to the same destination and back to Milwaukee.
I sincerely hope that Midwest fights this takeover with everything they have. The loss of Midwest would be a tragedy for me, Milwaukee, and airtravel in general.
- Troy Defenbaugh
I have always been satisfied with Midwest airlines. The things I like the best are the non-stop flights to many destinations, the affordable rates, flights directly out of Milwaukee instead of Chicago and of course the cookies! Please do not give in to AirTran. Thanks!
- Michelle Perkl
I am a frequent flyer member and have flown on Midwest many times, especially to Phoenix, AZ. A few years ago I made special arrangements with Midwest when flying my parents there for retirement. My mother was in very poor health and in a wheelchair. Not only did Midwest accomodate there needs during that trip, they treated them with great kindness and dignity. The cookies were also one of the highlights of their trip! This is just one of the many plesant experiences I have had with Midwest.
I recently flew with another large carrier due to arrangement made by my daughter to travel with her and my grandson. It was not a very plesant trip. From now on I told my daughter that I'd meet her on the other end because I was going to travel Midwest!
- Shannon Wittal
I am a:
- Stockholder
- Frequent Flyer (Approx 12 round trips per year) (Plus family members too)
- Member of Midwest "Best Care Club"
- Loyal fan and committed to helping Midwest stay here.
Please do NOT sell to AirTran. They will destroy our hometown airline forever. We'll never, never get back what we have. The grass is not greener on the other side. I will not fly AirTran's routes - I will switch to NWA or AA. I am spoiled by Midwest, and love to fly them, and very willingly pay the higher prices. Please do not leave. Please keep spoiling your loyal fans in Milwaukee.
I wouldn't sell at $30 a share. Sounds crazy. But, I buy/hold stocks in companies where I use their products/services. I love Midwest.
Especially the cookies.
Good luck in fending off the evil guys from Atlanta.
- Perry A Schroeder
Please bring the Cookie to Fresno Yosemite International Airport! Please, please, please, please! :)
- Hovig A
My first choice of airlines when I travel is Midwest. They have never lied or misled me when a flight will not be leaving/arriving on time but give the passengers the REAL reason and anaccurate estimate of when the flight will be operational. Thanks to Midwest for never leaving me sit in a plane on a runway for 3 hours with no air conditiong or water and for never making me wait in an airport for 6 to 10 hours or more so they have a plane with enough passengers to insure a profit!
- Jan Lenz
I started flying Midwest to the East Coast in the mid-80s for business. No one there would believe the competence and service of your airline until we convinced them to fly to Milwaukee using Midwest. I'm excited about the expansion of routes to the West Coast. I'm flying Midwest as long as you go where I'm going. I'll pay more if necessary!
- Linda Bachowski
To Midwest Board,
We want to congratulate you on your decision to not accept the offer. Midwest Express represents the Midwest which stands for stability and Integrity.
To serve our midwest has been the goal of Midwest Airlines. This airline has survived the cutbacks in air transportation and has expanded the cities it serves.
When you fly Midwest it always gives you a feeling of "home". Something that Midwesterns exemplify.
We hope that the board continues to stand strong for the Midwesterners that this airline serves.
How sad it would be if they sold out and later found out that all that was promised did not happen. We know what Midwest has done over the years.
- Dr. and Mrs. RIchard Wagner
Keep fighting the good fight!
- Andrew Narrai
I fly Midwest every opportunity, provided you have your signature service (2 across, leather seating). I'm a big person and the extra room makes flying enjoyable; I can actually get work done on the flight.
- Ken Heun
As an Executive Miles Member, I wholeheartedly support Midwest Airlines resistance to AirTran. If AirTran took over, I am absolutely certain the quality of the operation would suffer significantly. The difference in comfort, friendliness and on-time record between AirTran and Midwest Airlines is literally night and day. Please let me know what I can do - I will do whatever I can to stop any takeover efforts. Thank you for being the Best Care in the Air and easily my favorite airline.
- Steven T. Ford
It would appear your airline has been given enough tax exemptions, and the former governor "stuck it to us" with the Miller Park deal. Enough is enough. It is up to the stockholders and let it be so. Get on with life.
- David Radloff
I've been a long time customer of Midwest Airlines, and when I have to fly commercial (being a private pilot myself), I always try to fly Midwest. I enjoy my time in the Midwest Club before traveling, and the service and equipment are always top-notch. I look forward to many more wonderful travels, and cookies, of-coures!
- AJ Brandt
SAVE THE COOKIE!!! I fly Midwest whenever I have a choice. The larger seats are nice but the cookies are AWESOME! I always hope for a sleeping passenger next to me so I get extra. :-)
Hang in there and don't change a thing!
- Colleen Kunze
Whenever I fly, I only book with Midwest Airlines. There is no airline better. I'd be left 'high and dry'!
- Deb D'Amico
I would GLADLY pay more for the return of pre-911 service!
That is what made Midwest the best care in the air, 60 Minutes even said so!
AirTran is no different from Delta,JetBlue,Continential & Northworst.
I ENJOY being a customer ! ! !
Where else can THAT happen????
Pleeeezzzze do not sell out!!!
- Jay Brown
You are on the right track. Hold out please. I always pick you over any other airline when I have the chance. If you were similar to Air Tran, I would fly Northwest from Milwaukee. I have had my best flying experiences on Midwest and I have always appreciated your service, prices, and convenience. In contrast, I have had my worst flying expeience on Air Tran. Your companies couldn't be any different- the culture, marketing, and business plans wouldn't mesh well. Stay independent please!!!!
- J. M. Dye
To Midwest management and staff.
Thank you for fending off the decline of the airlines by maintaining quality and service. Thank you for not selling out to a carrier that would destroy a Wisconsin corporationi. Thank you for keeping jobs, for keeping integrity. thank you for keeping Midwest.
I wish you served more locations, as I try to fly with Midwest when I have the option.
I value having the ability to arrive at destinations without feeling like I've been herded on and off. I value being treated like a "client" or "passenger" and not a commodity like on all the other carriers. I value this and truly appreciate it, especially when the fares are comparable to other carriers and the experience is much more. Thank you for keeping it a very closely guarded secret - but please don't continue to do this.
Advertise - advertise - advertise - do things differently than everybody else. The "midwest" experience is wholesome but boring -- but we own Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis, which are all wonderful destination locations. Try to capture the world class-ness of the new midwesterner - an educated, intellectual, and world inflential, down-to-earth person you can find in the backyard.
Midwest Airlines embodies an experience of flying something more, that needs to be reflected in the advertising. Expecting something more from your airline should be promoted. Every airline gives lipservice to this concept but does little to follow through on the experience. Midwest offers this experience in living proof - every day.
The Milwaukee Arts - Callatrava Museum spreads its wings to offer a world class arts and architecture experience - use that motif and mindset. USE their vision as your own to remind the flying public why to fly Midwest. It's time for Midwest to do some REALLY CREATIVE advertising and positioning. Offering online specials, More PR - more creative incentives to remind the travelling public of your benefit ( wider seats / cookies ) is vital to reminding a very very angry travelling public that there is an option. Please promote Midwest in an "un-midwest" way.
Please continue to partner with other quality domestic and international carriers ( BMI / BA / QUANTAS / SPIRIT AIRLINES / SOUTHWEST AIRLINES to name a fewe ) to fend off hostile bids from less eithical "bottom-feeder" airlines.
Above all, thank you for taking these comments seriously.

You are an integral part of the fabric of this community. You are as significant as NML, the Brewers, the Calatrava, Kohl's Corp., Johnson Controls, Briggs & Stratton, the Bucks, the Milwaukee Symphony, etc. We have something precious by having Midwest based here and available to us. Losing this would be a tragic loss to our already delicate community image.
- Don Zien
My belief is that Air Tran would never follow through on their so called promises to Milwaukee. I believe they have a larger global plan that will result in their being absorbed by a larger air group after a Midwest acquisition. Then end result will simply line the pockets of the Air Tran execs and leave Milwaukee a flat zero!
- Richard A. Knisbeck
I was very please to read about this website to to provide support for keeping Midwest Express a Wisconsin based company.
I have flown AirTran in the past year instead of using Midwest. However, this was to experience first hand what AirTran had to offer in addition to low fares. Air Tran was able to keep to their schedule, but didn't offer anything more than any of the other carriers including seating area.
Being over 6ft tall I am happy for the two across seating. The enjoy not being shoulder to shoulder with the other passengers and extra room to put legs to be comfortable during the flight.
I will continue to choose Midwest Express over other airlines for any future trips.
As for all the hype from AirTran, things will not stay the same, the Midwest Express we know today will be migrated to the AirTran way of business, high density seating, re-organization of current jobs in Milwaukee (not necessarily expansion). I also don't think Milwaukee is under served, the customers from outside the Milwaukee metro area will not flock to Milwaukee just because AirTran has expanded.
- Glenn A. Beaudoin
My wife and I both spoke this morning about your tenacity in fighting off this hostile takeover. You and your board are to be commended for not taking the 'easy way out' and fighting for your core values, and the best interests of your shareholders and customers. We want you to know that we will continue to support you whenever our plans call for any air trave by flying on Midwest Thanks for ADDING TO THE QUALITY OF OUR LIFE IN THIS GREAT CITY!!!
- GARY F AND PAULETTE M BILLINGTON
Continue to fight this corporate take over. Haveing been through one myself, I know that AirTran will never let your be MidWest Airlines again. They will change you and force you to comply to their rules and procedures. The MidWest Airlines I know and have to come to love and make my airline of choice is best as an independent airline, free of the corporate takeover games. Keep fighting and I will keep flying!
- Jeff Stanislawski
We don't travel as much as we used to but when we do we fly Midwest. Was so happy to see you are now flying to Raleigh/Durham so I've already booked a flight for late June. I'm thrilled that it is a direct flight and I don't have to spend half a day in Cincinnati waiting for a connection. You are my HOMETOWN AIRLINE hopefully long term.
- Marie Vurnakes
We have a travel jewel in Midwest - I have never flown on any other airline with such customer service and comfort. On a longer flight, this is much appreciated. I am also a small shareholder and have cast my no vote to AirTran. Keep up the good work.
- Greg L. Carlson
As a frequent flyer and self appointed ambassador of the best care in the air, I wonder if AirTran realizes that it will lose many of YX's loyal customers if they change the service levels. If Signature Service, or even Supersaver routes, change to the AirTran standards, I will be the first in line at Northwest.
Though the days of meals served on china and morning mimosas are gone, the service expectations remain. Though I don't care about the cookie, it is a symbol for the care, attention, more comfortable seats, and service given by YX. I have been a proponent of Midwest at two major Milwaukee companies and will continue to support them whenever possible. Best wishes.
- Jeff Ranney
Midwest is the Greatest thing Milwaukee has left. We will never get the high level of service we have gotten used to if there is a merger. I won't fly any other airline, if Midwest doesn't go there, I don't go. This would be the greatest loss to the city which is already in a downword spiral as it is. It keeps us in the Big Leagues! Don't do it! Dave M
- David L Maciejewski
I may not fly a lot, but when I have it has always been Midwest Express. I am flying to Las Vegas in June with a lot of family members for a wedding. I'm actually looking forward to the flight because of you and the employees. Don't change what you have works, and the others don't!
- Jennifer Johnston
I fly Midwest every chance I get. Reasonable fares and convenient flights to the cities of Columbus, Flint, and Fort Lauderdale meet my business needs. I've always received high quality service and intend to continue my patronage as long as they're "my hometown airline". It's hard to view AirTrans promises of route expansion and more jobs as anything but falsehoods. How many times have corporations made similiar promises and within a year or two, they do just the opposite. I truly hope "hometown" wisdom prevails.
- James Ewig
I mainly fly for non-business reasons. The ability to take non-stop flights is key and I am willing to pay the extra $$ - which I believe is minimal compared to the time that I would lose changing planes! I’ve never had a bad experience and have a goal to go to all the places that you fly to. Tops on my list now is Seattle!
And did I mention the cookies!! Just the aroma provides a calming feeling during the flight.
My main reason for flying with Midwest – supporting a local company!
Shareholders – please don’t buy into AirTran’s empty promises!
- M Marciniak
Our family vacations are planned around where Midwest flies! We've flown many other carriers and after connections that didn't work, hassles with luggage, cramped seating conditions and poor service, we do everything possible to fly with you!(Including changing venues!) Please don't give in to Air Trans. My Dad always says you've put the fun back into flying. We say that you mean what you say -- You give the BEST CARE IN THE AIR! Good Luck, Stay the course!
- Debra Alder
Hello
I will always chose a nonstop flight on Midwest with cookies over some of the other options out of Milwaukee. As a travel agent of 24 years, I have always presented Midwest as the first option to our clients. One concern I have with your current publicity in the takeover bid is that there has been no suggestion to use a travel professional when making travel arrangements. We have been loyal for years; please don't forget about us now.
- Patricia Ziwisky
Please fight this takeover .They will destroy the business model of Midwest. We use no other airline but Midwest.
- Rudy Penasa &Nancy Penasa
What is it about "No" AirTran doesn't get? It's pretty doggone arrogant for them to continue to blather on about how good they are for us. As in good enough to force the issue with hostility!
While I'm not a frequent flyer, I'm a loyal one... enough to change my schedule if Midwest serves a market I'm flying to. That loyalty would most likely turn to dust if the ill winds of a takeover blow through.
I respectfully suggest to AirTran they go out, do the hard work and create their own niche, instead of bullying the board, stockholders and stakeholders served by Midwest Airlines.
- David DeGroot
Midwest Airlines,
I am a business man flying for over 30 years. Midwest is my number 1 choice when flying to cities that they service. It is by far the BEST in all aspects other than they do not service enough of the cities that I travel to.
Regarding Air Tran, as a business man, there is no ethical way for them to promise that they will retain service routes and Midwest personnel. AirTran wants Midwest for their routes and airline marketing positive notoriety.
If for some reason, business turns down, cost reduction processes would be put in place immediately and the Midwest division would not be immune. We are not in a Socialistic country, therefore, AirTran cannot in good conscience promise anything. We are a Capitalist country, thank you!
Midwest certainly is the 'Best Care In The Air'.
Thank you to your flight crews, maintenance, gate, desk, club and all the other support personnel.
Let's keep Midwest Airlines here in Milwaukee.
- Ronald Borowski
We count on you to connect us with our long distance relationship. From Wisconsin to Texas and all the points in between. Stay the course, we are proud of your exceptional customer service, warm smiles and efficient service!
- Sandy Schroeder-Brietzman
I have received outstanding service from Midwest airlines - I also enjoy having a local airline and not having to go to Chicago everytime I travel. I prefer to stay with what we know and support that effort.
- KathyHanson
Thanks for remaining independent and truly a source of pride for Milwaukee. I cannot envision the hostile take over attempt by Air Tran as doing anything but harm to the customer service and loyalty you have worked so hard to earn. And earn it you have.
- Trenton Ott
Please do not sell! Milwaukee loves Midwest Express!
- Joseph Bitter
AirTran says they will bring low fares to our market - who said that what I (or others) who are loyal to Midwest want? Never forget the age old wisdom of "you get what you pay for" - In my mind - low fares equals less commitment to quality.
- Michelle Keshel
Please, please hold on. Don't give in to AirTran. I am not a stock holder, just someone that loves the services Midwest offers and feel we need Midwest in Milwaukee.
- DorothyAnn Zeier
Midwest will and always has been my airline of choice. If AirTran should succeed in their take-over, I will not support AirTran by flying with them.
- Janine Augustin
For the past 3 years and once again, this year, our family vacation destination has been selected based, on part, that we are able to use Midwest to get there. Our family of five appreciates the "care" we get with your airline. I hope we can always continue to use Midwest, Our airline of choice!
- John E. Dolnik
We fly Midwest whenever possible. Please do not sell to Air Tran!
- Lisa Balistreri
The "Best Care in the Air' is a local source of Pride, and should not be trifled with. In a world of mergers and takeovers it would be really great to see Midwest survive this. We flew Midwest in February and it was the smoothest flight we've ever been on. Why would I want to fly someone else? I would never fly Air Tran.
- Linda Johnson
You have become the face of Milwaukee Business Travel as well as the first choice for leisure travel. Milwaukee and Chicago travelers prefer Midwest. They check your availability first.
Please hold on and stay "our" best care in the air provider.
- Daniel Boyce
Please leave our wonderful hometown airline alone. The service is wonderful and very comfortable. I have had many wonderful funjet vacations that have used midwest as their flying agent, even to Mexico. When we use Midwest it's not about price, it's about comfort & service. Airtran will never provide this in their cattle car planes.
- Nancy Rafenstein
i am in support of midwest airlines and atribute Air Tran for forcing midwest to cancel flights from Milw to Madison
- Ann Reynolds
Just wanted to let you know that I will hold on to my 10 little shares until they pry them out of my hand while I kick and scream. I am fervantly hoping that Air Tran gives up their quest as it will surely ruin a wonderful, hometown airline.
- Gayle Adrian
I have been flying Midwest since 1984. I do not consider other airlines when flying out of Milwaukee. I believe their business model is successful because of the incredible service they provide, (including the two by two leather seats and cookies). If Airtran were to succeed in acquiring Midwest, that service model would be gone-making the resulting airline just like any other low cost airline. I would deliberately choose to fly another airline.I do not mind paying additional $ for the service. Please keep the service model--stave off Airtran and keep the airline in Milwaukee!!
- Jo Ann B Hankwitz
Love the cookies! I've seen adults get that "little kid" look on their faces when the cookies come down the aisle and I can smell the warm chocolate several seats away.
I've flown Air Tran once and I will never will do that again. It was absolutely THE most uncomfortable flight I've even been on. My heart sank when I heard about Air Tran's attempt at a takeover. Thanks for saying NO! Midwest Airlines is truly the best care in the air!
- Tina Michels Nelson
I love your service and hope you stay independent of any other low class airline. Best wishes to you, Trip
- Trip Kadey
In the immortal words of the late basketball coach Jim Valvano,"Don't give up. Don't ever give up."
- Bradford Kraft
I did not fly for many years, due to fear. When I finally decided to try again, I chose Midwest Express at the time. What a pleasant surprise! The service, the food, the seats, I couldn't say enought about this wonderful airline. Even with some of the cut backs, it still is a wonderful airline. I spread the good news to everyone I know, throughout the country. I hope that it remains our hometown airline for many, many years to come. Thank you, Mrs. Judie Paryl
- Judie E. Paryl
Midwest Airlines is our favorite airlines! Midwest supplies the only nonstop service between Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Milwaukee, WI. Midwest has consistently given quality, reliable, affordable, and comfortable travel for us. I will not ever fly ATA after having had a number of bad experiences with them.
- Susan Vanderbeck
Please, please, please, don't let Air Tran take over our wonderful local airline!
- Lynn Larkins
Please don't let Midwest be taken over by AirTran. Midwest really is the best care in the air and one of the best things about living in Milwaukee. When I first moved here 10 years ago, I couldn't wait for my parents to fly up for a visit to see me, because I wanted them to experience the Midwest Airlines difference. They had a great experience then and have every time they've flown Midwest since then.
Please let keep Midwest Airlines just the way it is!
- Nancy Tavares
My past 3 flight experiences have been horrific. I have only had the pleasure of flying Midwest once, but I am more than willing to pay extra to get a direct flight from Milwaukee with good service.
- Jacob C Schaefer
Tim & Staff,
Don't give in to the attempt.
You have a quality product at a fair price. Air Tran should run it's own business, and if it is so great, why can't they just leave you alone. Good Luch & God Bless.
- James "Jim" H. Roland
I love Midwest. The only way to travel!! You are the BEST. Please do not sell out. I have heard nothing good about the airline that wants to take over!
Betty
- Betty J. Rasky
Will be flying on this airline next week and plan to fly on it every opportunity that we get. Love the two across seating and cookies of course. It is a home town airline that a lot of out of towners love.
- John N. Burnws
I respect the management and as a shareholder and frequent flyer really appreciate Midwest Airlines' superior service. I hope all shareholders reject the tender offer from AirTran and let Midwest management carry out their successful business plan. Cheaper airfares? My wife and I have travelled to Newark, New York, and Fort Lauderdale regularly to visit our two children on our schedule and always seem to pay a total of $400-$500 which is pretty economical.
- Frederick J. Russler
This is about much more than just saving the cookie. This is about saving a business with a commitment to true customer service, unique among airlines today.
- Marshall Poindexter
Midwest is the BEST!! You are Milwaukee's own and our community needs strong businesses like yours. Thank you for your wonderful service and your significant community support....now it's our turn to support you.
- Mary Dugan
Dear Midwest Airlines,
Please keep the airlines in Milwaukee its the only company we have left. Why get rid of a excellant airline known for service. When you hear Midwest Airlines you think Milwaukee, keep it that way, please. Plus the cookies are a great touch. God Bless
- THOMAS BOZORA
Of all the times we have flown around the
country, Midwest has always been truly the
"Best Care in the Air". No one else even
comes close! To Air Tran we say- "Go Away".
The future holds a Great promise for our
Midwest Airline. This is not something that
should be "Carved-Up" and altered by Air Tran. Midwest's formula works, and quality
like this can't be bought; it must be earned!
Please keep this "Gem" in the family. It is
beond price, and could never be replaced!
- Paul Edward Moll
Midwest Airlines has truly always been the "best care in the air." I don't want to see AirTran change this airline, and I especially don't want the amazing chocolate chip cookies vanish! I support Midwest in all they do... decline any bids from Air Tran!!!
- Jenny Scherer
The quality of service I've previously received from Midwest Airlines was outstanding. Aside from the great chocolate cookies, roomy and comfortable seating, and affordable airfares, the staff have always been helpful and courteous. These attributes are rarely found in other airlines. I hope this does not get diluted or changed in the future.
- Basil Mercado
Midwest is quite possibily the last bastion of sanity in domestic airline travel (esp to DC!), and THE COOKIE makes it all the sweeter. Add $0.50 or $1.00 to airfares if you must, but please don't abolish this institution that makes it SUCH a comfort to fly your airline!
- Marie Diane Panek
Having personal experience with the business and service culture of both ATA and Midwest, I find it difficult to picture the marriage. I am confident that the result would be too close to ATA's current personality. If that were the case, I would probably no longer fly the airline.
- Kurt B.
Since Midwest started flying to Orlando, I have been a loyal customer, even paying more just for the privilege of flying with you. Midwest is the BEST. Don't downgrade by joining with Air Tran.
- Linda M. Lammers
Keep up the good fight against Air Tran and their continued attempt at a hostile takeover. I would NEVER fly Air Tran period! Continue your strategic growth plans and bring in some more non-stops to Omaha. I know alot of people here (both business and vacationing travelers) that love Midwest Airlines (from 2 across seating, chocolate chip cookies and all the other ways Midwest Airlines stands out from the other cattle cars like Southwest) and if you offered non-stops to places like Vegas or other popular destinations I know you would see pure profit with these routes from Omaha, NE.
- Chris & Olivia Waller
Midwest Airlines is the only airline with style left in the US. Don't give it away! But you have to advertise much more - too many people on the East Coast don't know about Midwest Airlines.
- Antje Arndt
Do not let Air Tran take our business. Everybody likes this airline already. The people wouldn't be able to go on a ride without cookies, or leather seats, or digi players, or any other things Midwest airlines provides for customers.
- Samantha Dresen
Please do not sell out. Your employees need their jobs ! Your employees and many like them are the glue that keep our country together. We must respect their loyalty and hard work and not sell them out fo a quick dollar...
- Carla J DeWolf
Midwest Airlines is my airline of choice even though I do not reside in Wisconsin. Midwest offers excellent service nationwide that puts other carriers to shame!
- Lee Owens
I started as a customer of Midwest and Midwest Connect quite a few years ago. I have had such great experiences that I decided to join the team. I love working for Midwest/Midwest Connect and will do so until I retire. Keep up the great work!
- Holly-MKG
Midwest, Carol S, et al: The web site title is perfect. Keep the cookie flying. We fly Midwest every chance we get, not just for the cookie, but the no hassle, extra room, fine service. thanks, good luck!!
- Neil H. Shively
Keep going strong!!! I love midwest, and midwest is my hometown airline, and I hope always will be. I wish for Midwest to stay independent (AWAY FROM AIRTRAN)! Thanks for being the best care in the air!
- Alex Pourazari
I know I am an employee and therefore bias but..I have also worked for Midwest Airlines since 1985. We've been through a lot since we started service, we've had highs and lows but we've always managed to pull together and come out on top. After 9/11 things definitely changed, infact the face of travel changed in general and yet Midwest rose to the situation and continued to give our well known Customer Service as best we could in our changing world. I believe that if Airtran or anyone purchased Midwest Airlines it would never be the airline that it is today. I implore you to support the hometown airline and send Airtran packing!!!!! :)
- Kathy Brost
As a former employee of Midwest Airlines (I worked in Commissary Operations, I fully support the fact that Midwest should remain where it is.
- Daniel C. Skopp
We hope the Shareholders of Midwest Airlines will realize the importance of keeping Midwest Airlines just the way it is. They have an excellent "track record" and please don't change a thing and keep their image "as is."
- Karen C. Laack
Please do not surrender ! How about MIDWEST EXPRESS buying out Airtran ?
- David Lehman
I am disabled and have difficulty walking. Your employees have always shown me resepect and total consideration, going so far as to take me on the employee elavator to get me to the plane on time. Thank you so much!
- Kristine Plate
Please keep Midwest Airlines independent! We love this airline and fly it wherever and whenever we can. The increased non-stop flights from Milwaukee to Tampa year round now are super. Keep up the great customer service and, of course, the best cookies!
- Kathleen Robards
I have flown several airlines in the past...but for the past ten years I have made it a family rule to ONLY use Midwest Express for several reasons...The comfort of your service and seats, the food, and the cookies are all part of my decision, but mor-over, I choose to keep my business and my dollars local...I cannot say enough about how wonderful the service, friendliness and deals are on Midwest Express...several times I have recoommended your service to friends and family...always to have them compliment me for the choice and choose your airline for their travels too as a rule of thumb...Please know that everything you do for the region IS appreciated and that if you were to sell, you would be doing a great injustice to the people you have earned the trust of, and the airline industry as a whole...PLEASE know that to some of us...you and your airline are special...Air-tran is not what is needed in this town, area, region, or business...Stay forward thinking and we will loyally repay you for years and decades to come...!
- Stephen J. Rose
I will chose Mid-West Airlines over any others no matter what the fare - although their fares have always been very competitive. I first check to see if MiWest serves a location. If they do I book it without concern for cost because I know they care and they serve with pride. If there is a difference in competitors' fares it is only a miniscule difference and not worth the hassle of flying with carriers who treat their cargo like sardines, or human cattle. Besides the warm wash clothes and luscious cookies are the best.
- Nancy J. Glaubitz
Midwest is the best! Recently this month I had an accident and my husband and I knew that we needed extra help for a while. We decided to fly my mom up to the Milwaukee area from Atlanta. When choosing our airline we choose a pricer ticket for the comfort of Midwest. She was familar with the airline and we knew it would be the best choice for her. Please stay in Milwaukee and keep the reputation that people have grown to know.
- Autumn Poser
Midwest is the only airline our family flies. We travel on a regular basis from Milwaukee to Los Angeles. It's not just about the cookies--the service is unbeatable. Please do not sell out to Air Tran.
- Suzanne Schunck
I strongly object to the hostile takeover by Transair. Based on Transair's past performance. They are soley intent on increasing their profit margins at the expense of the customer. If I have a choice between them loseing their profit and me loseing the performance value of Midwest services, its better Airtrans lose their profit.
- Gary Kerns
I get sick thinking that Airtran would take over our beloved Midwest Airlines. I've been on flights with firt time flyers of Midwest Express on their way to Milwaukee and NY from the west coast...Each one of them, without any prodding, made some really nice comments about Midwest's comfortable seats, service and generally how impressed they were compared to all the other airlines out there. Air Tran...please take a hike...you're not wanted here!
- Jenny Hansen
I don't fly often, but when I do it's Midwest! You guys are the best! Keep up the good work!
Don't let AirTran in.
- Barb Ziegelbauer
Midwest is the pride of Milwaukee, and is so because of its superior product, extraordinary customer service, and exceptional community involvement. There's no "team" in AirTran - there is in Midwest Airlines. Let's keep our pride, and our team, in Milwaukee.
- Chris Medlock
We're cheering for you Midwest! Please save THE BEST CARE IN THE AIR for all your loyal customers and shareholders in Milwaukee.
- Margaret Haesler
I have flown on Midwest for business and pleasure since 1990. The superior comfort level and service on Midwest adds to the enjoyment of a trip. We are very fortunate to have a local airline such as Midwest. I sincerely hope Midwest does not sell.
- Doug Patrykus

Dear Midweat:
Let's show the US that great things come from the Midwest; quality workers, ethics, excellent fishing lakes and great airlines! Not everything in this country has originate on an ocean coast, sometimes a "lake coast" is far Superior!
Thanks.
- Larry and Mary Clark
Please continue to operate indepedently Midwest. You truly are the best care in the air!
- Justin Gnau
I travel frequently for business and have elite status in a variety of frequent flyer programs. But when I have a choice, I strongly prefer the "best care in the air" over first class on other major airlines. Please stay independent!
- Christopher Kelly
Midwest Airlines is one of the things that makes me happy to live in Milwaukee. Not only are you my first choice, you are my only choice. If you don't fly there, I don't go there.
- marsha sehler
Don't give in to AirTran if you do they will only destroy your co. They only want you because of your good name and the good will that you have given to your passengers. I have seen to many take overs, and they all say the same there will be no changes made and they will give good service and keep employes. That is a big lie. You are a better airline than they are so they want what you have only they will still do no better than they are doing now, with not as good as your airline is.
Please don't give up.
- Nonna Komar
I have had the least problems when I'm flying Midwest vs other airlines. Please don't go.
- Greg Billmyer
I miss you all. I'm supporting Midwest and their Board of Directors, Tim and Carol. I won't ever fly Air Tran. Mary
- Mary Iden
Midwest Airlines supports Milwaukee and treats all traveling passengers with great care. We have a great future with Midwest!
- Carol DeSimone
I only fly Midwest because I am a loyal supporter of WI businesses. However, beyond my loyaty... I trust Midwest and have always received excellent cost and service. I will certainly avoid flying Air Tran at any cost. How could I trust a company who will bully Midwest... what would keep them from bullying me as a single customer?
Keep Strong! Your supporters are behind you!
Veronica
- Veronica Rodriguez-Lewis
Midwest was the only airline to treat us as a human being when we were stranded in New York in mid February. Fortunately we got transferred from our scheduled airline to Midwest and got home the next day.
- Kathleen Wells
This "merger" would not benefit the customer. I love your service & price. Keep Midwest independent!
- Elaine Goss
Although I have only flown Midwest twice (last year), I am strongly opposed to a buyout by AirTran. In an industry where quality is already low, Midwest is a shining light. Service, care, and comfort are non-pareil aboard Midwest aircraft. Don't sell this quality down the river by rendering Midwest just "another" airline. It isn't just another airline and let's keep it that way.
- Christopher L. Hamm
We live in Illinois, but travel to Milwaukee to take Midwest on every trip we can. The service is excellent and the crews are always friendly. I would be geatly disappointed if Air Tran spoiled such a good thing!
Bill and JUdy Miles
- William Miles
Please stay independent, I remember the days when we had to depend on Northwest to get us anywhere via Detroit or Minneapolis. Save us from that!
- Dean Molstad
I have flown Midwest since the early 90's and think it is the best!!!! Please, please do not let Air Tran take over - it would be a disaster for Milwaukee and all of Midwest's current customers. All of Mr. Leonard's empty promises would go "out the window" once Air Tran would become entrenched. Quality would suffer and job losses would be inevitable as duplicity of jobs would necessitate trimming positions. My only hope is that the shareholders will see this when they cast their votes. Don't be swayed by those $$$$$ of share prices that Air Tran is floating in front of you!!!
- jan wittenberger
Why would you sell a fine product?
- Jeff Trumpy
I would appreciate you not selling out to Airtran. We have come to appreciate the fine level of quality service we receive when we travel Midwest.
I firmly believe many in the Milwaukee area and surrounding communities have a strong sense of pride and appreciate for your level of committment to the community and it would be a shame to loose that.
Thank you for your time and considerations of remaining Milwaukee's home town airline!
- Kelly Harrison
I fly from Milwaukee around 40 weeks per year, and have seen other airlines promises of service. No one delivers like Midwest. The caring attitude and attention to detail make Midwest a Jewel that Milwaukee can not afford to lose.
- Jeff Mueller
It continues to be evident that local business doesn't stay local long enough. We know that if they take over JOBS will be lost. There is always a BLENDING of jobs. I'm sure they can keep their job as long as they are willing to move away from Milwaukee. Please do all you can to stay here.
- Kay Meyer
I love this airlines!!! Keep up the fight - if I had enough money I would buy up all your stock.
- Sandra Newman
I refuse to fly any other airline unless there is absolutely no other choice. Midwest is definitely the best care in the air for service, comfort, and convenience. PLEASE remain as the current independent Midwest Airlines!!!!!
- Connie Stearns
As a stockholder in Midwest airlines,I would rather lose every penny we have invested in stock, rather to cave into Trans Air
- rude
I am not a stockholder, but as a customer, I ask you to please turn down this takeover attempt. Midwest offers a completely unique product in air travel. When I need to fly, I immediately look to see if Midwest goes to whereever I am traveling, and if it does, I make every effort to use it. The experience is incomparable. I don't care if Air Tran vows to keep the cookies. I can live without the cookie. I want the quality of service, the space, and the level of excellence that is unmatched. Air Tran has acknowledged one of their first steps will be to add seats, taking away one of the unique aspects of Midwest. Please keep the best care in the air! Mary Rolloff
- Mary Rolloff
Air Tran is to airlines as Burger King is to fine dining. Air Tran is like Lyle Lovitt trying to marry Julia Roberts.
Midwest is the only five-star airline. Keep fighting, as I do want Lyle taking over our Julia Roberts with the first date starting place at Burger King.
- J Looper
Tell Airtran to take a hike!!!!! If they succeed with their hostile takeover they will lose my business.
- Bernadine Eck
Midwest has been my airline of choice since I came to Wisconsin. I absolutely LOVE Midwest and thank you for the great service and non-stop flights. There is NO way AirTran can match this and they most likely don't intend to - all they want are the gates and routes. Please, please don't let them take over Midwest!
- Susan Johnson
nothing could please us more upon hearing that MIDWEST AIRLINE remains here in Wisconsin. We never consider another way to fly....
- Bill and Shirley Elwood
Midwest Airlines is the only way to fly. I will not fly with air tran. Thanks for the best care, and of course the cookies!
- James Ross
I've lived in Arizona and Southern California for most of the past 4 years. Whenever my friends and I would be near the Phoenix or Los Angeles airports, I would inevitably see one of those blue MD-80s coming in or taking off and I would point it out with pride to my friends. YX, you're the best damn airline in America. You never fail me. You're proof of the greatness of Wisconsin. You fought off competition from NW, and you'll fight off FL - Valujet doesn't deserve you. Keep flying strong!
- Samuel Stoffel Marley
It's this simple: Midwest is second to none. There IS no other airline.
- Kathy Brown

You guys are way more than "The best care in the Air" I think about you all the time and have midwestairlines.com as my homepage, and I have a lot of photos in my airplane collection of you, and I have had a TON of memories with you including my first flight as an unaccompanied minor (that was a long while back ago!)
- Jaspreet
Beat back AirTran. Send them home crying for their mommy. There's no way we want to trade a classy, first class air carrier for a cattle-car, trash heap, low-cost and only negative frills carrier. Keep your chin up and a stiff upper lip and give AirTran's board a right cross. This much is certain. I will NEVER fly AirTran--if it is the last plane on earth--NEVER. Needless to say, I will not affiliate with or fly a "combined airline" with AirTran. Midwest is the only way to fly.
- David Stipp-Bethune
Please stay the way you are!
We have used Airtran and were not happy with the service. We had booked a direct flight but that was changed to a connecting flight a few weeks before departure. This has happened 3 or 4 times.
- Gerardina H. Sukus
I am a frequent business traveler and always chose Midwest. The customer service and care are world class. These are shrinking values in our business culture and I hope that the Board of Directors will decide to "save the cookie"!
- Joanie Redenz
I LOVE Midwest Airlines. I hope Airtran Does not take them over. Every time I fly Midwest I am pround to fly "The Best Care in the Air
- David
Ban AirTran. My wife, my dog and I are long time supporters of Midwest Airlines. We can think of a hundred reasons to Fly Midwest. You are a First Class operation and have been that way from the beginning. Don't let this be about the money. Keep Midwest flying and ignore AirTran and their takeover antics. They are not even in the same league as you folks. Why should we deal with a minor league organization when we can play with the Major Leagues? Keep up the resistance.
- Thomas Wodarczak
With two sons living in New York City and a daughter living in Seattle, we value your services and are very frequent flyers. We hope the support of all your fans will keep this phenomenal airline and its outstanding services in Milwaukee where it belongs.
- Kathie A.Koenig
Midwest Airlines has been our choice of flying for many years - personal, as well as, business related. Your prices are competitive but it is the service that is above all the rest (and lets not forget the extra leg room). Your employees have always been the "best". We support our 'hometown' airlines and the employees and all passengers which enjoy the unique experience of Midwest. Midwest Airlines is a treasure to Wisconsin!
- Judy and Dale Kuehn
Because I am diabled, I travel very little. But over the many years that Midwest Airlines has been in business, our family has flown out of Milwaukee, proud to use Midwest. It is hard to find such an elegant ride on airlines today as ones has on Midwest. Thanks you so much for the care you have given your passengers. Please keep up the good work. Please save Midwest Airlines!
- Marjorie Cox Fabian
You can't do better then flying with the best
always goog food & the cookie
- Jayne Jaworski we need hometown airlines
It was April of 1986. I was a college student at UW-Oshkosh wanting to go to Dallas for a convention. I was scared stiff to fly. I had never done it, never wanted too. Thru pear pressure, I gave in and on that morning walked to the plane in Appleton. Climbed onto that plane and immediately felt the midwest express (back then) attitude. The flight attendent asked me if something was wrong. My friends said he never flew before. She knew what to do. My first take off and landing was 20 minutes apart, but after you go through the first one, your not scared anymore. I have flown many times since. Always, if I can on midwest. Although they go to more cities, and have more planes. The way they treat people is still "first rate" We have a gem, and gem's increase in value. Midwest is needed to keep value and choice in air travel in the MKE market. If air trans would use it as a hub, we would not have local people serving local flyers. We would have a commodity airline. One that would put profit over service. Midwest has proven that you can be profitable and give great service. Especially in those trying times. Continued sucess.
- Brian Vandoske
I am someone who really doesn't care to fly. But,now that I have flown Midwest a couple of times, this is really the one airline that I feel the MOST comfortably with. I really do hope you stay makes it much easier for me to get on a plane.
Thank-you so much
- Gail Wilson
I for one DO NOT understand how a company can be so "nasty" to buy someone THAT DOES NOT WANT TO BE BOUGHT!!!!! Or how they can even "THINK" they can!!! GET THE MESSAGE FOLKS.....They don't want to sell and especially to a loser company!!!! Leave Mid-West alone...we WILL NOT travel your air lines if you by some odd change are able to buy out Midwest!!! Leave well enough alone!!
- Judy Bouffiou
This one is for you guyes keep up the good work. I'm hoping the Airtran learns the word no means no. I'm hoping that Airtran goes and buy another airliner. Leavs the home town airline alone
- DANIEL CANTWELL
PLEASE do not cave and sell out the airline! We always fly Midwest when you serve a place we're traveling to and would hate to see your wonderful airline taken over and made into yet another mediocre transport rather than the pleasant travel it is now! Please please please don't sell!!!

I have lived in Milwaukee for 13 years. While I have been approached to consider similar positions in other locations over that time, I have routinely turned them down - in large part because of the convenience and comfort afforded me when I need to travel by air. Midwest has literally kept me in Milwaukee, so I'm happy to do what I can to keep Midwest here now!
- Thomas Holme
Midwest has spoiled every other airline for me: No one else offers the level of service you provide- not even close! AirTran should go play in someone else's neighborhood, because they are not welcome here.
- Lisa Tareski
The people that work for Midwest always go the extra mile to make your trip a pleasure. Go away Air Tran and leave us alone.
- Janice Mathwig
Midwest Airlines is worth its weight in gold. No amount is enough to sell. Milwaukee would truly lose The Best Care in the Air.
- Tony Tanaszczyk
Midwest is truly the "Best care in the Air.' It is always my FIRST choice for travel!
- Colleen Jakubowski
One of the best things about moving to Milwaukee was discovering Midwest Airlines. We hope it is around for a good long time !!
- Lorrie Fischer
I support your resistance to Air Tran's hostile takeover. As a frequent traveler, Midwest is my FIRST choice... The care and service offered by Midwest will not be maintained under other ownership. I will refuse to fly AirTran... or support any of its endeavors.
- Colleen Jakubowski
We love your airline and won't fly any other if we can avoid it. Hang in there. Midwest is too good to be bought out. We will lose our "hometown airline" and wonderful service we have enjoyed for so many years. GO MIDWEST!
- David and Helen Potter
If we lose Midwest Airlines, we not only lose top-notch air service, we also lose an exceptional corporate citizen in Wisconsin.
- Zack Brost
Please do not succomb to the lure of the dollar and give up the best airline ever created !! The reason you have loyal customers is because you dared to be different==Keep up the good work!
- Devon A. Schwaab
I have enjoyed using Midwest airlines for quite some time. I enjoy flying out of Milwaukee and the service on Midwest. I have only flown a true discountcarrier once and the experience was awful. I would hate to see Midwests service reduced to such a level. Air Tran would treat passengers like cattle. Please do not accept their offer.
- Terese Chylla
We travel on Midwest Express from MKE to SFO, and the service, seating arrangements and cookies are a pleasure that we are not willing or ready to have replaced by a low fare carrier. To the share holders - don't give up the ship. Keep Midwest independent. Keep Midwest "the best care in the air". We don't need Air Trans service.
- /Nancy Welch
Thank you for the best care in the air. I hope you are able to keep resisting the Air Tran takeover. I DO NOT BELIEVE Air Tran's false promises.
- Gwen Schlicht
Being Midwest shareholders we say save the cookie!! Down with Air Tran!!
- Jim Lenling
We have been flying Midwest since 1993. We will only fly Midwest no matter what the price. You are a wonderful airline. Your employees are the greatest part of your organization.
- Nicole
While most airlines have gone the way of the lowest common denominator, AirTran included, your great airline headed in a different direction. By doing so you raised the bar. I applaud Midwest and appreciate your efforts to restore some class to the flying experience.
- William, D, Knight
Hi! I just want to let you know that I hope you stand your ground and not allow Air Tran to buy you out. I'm afraid everything will go downhill as a result. I don't have much faith in Air Tran and would hate to see Midwest become a part of that company.
Stand strong!!!
- Maria Mackie
We had a medical emergency while on a Midwest Express flight and were treated so quickly and with such professionalisn that we only fly Midwest. Please don't ruin this fantastic airlines by selling it. We need this airlines in Milwaukee...it is one great thing for Milwaukee to brag about.
- Marge Szychlinski
Stay strong, don't let anyone change a good thing!!!
- Michael E Billmyer
Midwest is the best. Don't sell out!!!
- Christl R Billmyer
After moving to Denver from my childhood home in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I always book with Midwest Airlines whenever flying between the two. Midwest's warm cookies bring back that hometown feeling even before I touch down in Milwaukee. I've flown Midwest for years and consider them to be my hometown airline; you have a loyal customer in me!
- Morgan Anne Olszewski
When I flew Midwest to pick up my 2 1/2 y.o. grandson, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. And the cookies sure helped! I enjoyed my Midwest flight and would definitely fly Midwest again. Best wishes in your fight to remain independent. I wish more American businesses were like yours.
Mary Alice Phillips
Wamego, KS
- Mary Alice Phillips
After recently switching positions at work that require more travel I take extra time while planning travel to see if Midwest can take me where I need to go. I have never had a bad experience on Midwest. The dependability, reliability, as well as the comfort on Midwest flights is something you just can't pass up. Midwest takes the worry out of air travel.
- Brad S.
Midwest have my support Keep Midwest Midwest they are loved in FLL
- greg lattimore
My wife and I have not flown any other airline than Midwest since 1997. We don't even check any other airline, and why would we, none offer the level of service/care we enjoy with Midwest. JUST SAY NO to AirTran!!
- Steven Fonk
We fly Midwest whenever possible. Living in Kenosha we have our choice between O'Hare and Mitchell Field. Mitchell Field is definitely more convenient and when you have the "Best Care in the Air", it's a no-brainer. The staff is always courteous and the flights are great.
Thanks Midwest.
- Fred Ricker
Don't give in!!

Don't give in to the hostile takeover proposed by AirTran. Midwest is the "gold standard" in airlines. AirTran is nothing more than a resurrected ValuJet.
- Steve Khail
Keep it Midwest and in Milwaukee.....we are all behind you.
- Garret Kamenar
I have an IDEA that probably not a lot of people have not come to think of.....and that would be to pull a fast one on AirTran and thier stockholders and to offer to BUY THEM OUT INSTEAD !!!!
Milwaukee needs a great service airline like Midwest ,so it costs a little more, but as it is always said "You get what you pay for"!!!
Midwest will be turned into a "Cattle Car"
lowcost no real service airline..if you allow the takeover...SO PLEASE DON'T Let it happen
- Randy Bern
Stay strong Midwest! You've got a strong audience in Milwaukee that has economically supported you for the past 20 years. Please don't abandon us now that we rely on you for outstanding air service and local jobs.
Our cookie will not crumble!
- Cynthia Connolly
When I travel on business or in trivia competitions, I like to think that I'm doing my part to represent Milwaukee and Wisconsin. Part of that is flying Midwest Airlines, my first choice when flying from Wisconsin.
- Brian Hight
We are shareholders through our M&I stock portfolio. Don't sell! We have stuck with you through thick and thin. We also love to fly with you many times each year.
- David Kipperman
I won't fly any other airline. If Midwest doesn't go there, neither do I. Please don't sell out.
- Patrick Rogo
Midwest has provided the best service of any airline I've ever traveled . . . better than American, Northwest, AirTran, and, yes, even Southwest. I wholeheartedly supported keeping Midwest Airlines in Miwaukee just as it is.
- Marlene Scherrer
The only reason Air Tran (read Valujet..remember the crash in the Everglades?) wants Midwest is to have someone profitable take over their debt. Whenever I've flown Midwest Express I've been treated with courtesy and respect..and I LOVE the cookies...don't succumb to AirTrans...stay MY hometown airline (-;
- Kathleen Dalton
Whenever possible I always fly Midwest Airlines. It's not only the cookies and great service, but everything from luggage handling to consistent on-time schedules, make Midwest Airlines my airline!!
- Dale Lehrer
I am a current midwest airlines stockholder. I would rather burn my shares at the doorstep of airtran, than recive any money from their offer. DON'T SELL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- C. Smith
Midwest Airlines is the Crown Jewel of Milwaukee and the State of Wisconsin. Let's keep it as an independent operator!
- John L. Beck
Midwest Airlines has become synonymous with Milwaukee and demonstrates the small town feel of a business dedicated to its customers. No matter what Air Trans promises, what makes Midwest what it is would eventually be eroded--big, comfy seats, non-stop flights, and of course, everyone's favorite, the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies--do not let them become only a memory!
- Christina Keedick
Keep up the good work! Atran is not good for Milwaukee
- Jordan Slotkin
Midwest Express/Airlines has been flying us comfortably and safely between the East Coast and Milwaukee since the mid-80's...We want the best care in the air to stay right there!
- Lisa Goldman
I fully support Midwest against Air Tran. Keep the seats and the cookies. As much as I like the cookies it is the seat room and the service that I want to keep. I don't like your super saver flights either. Signature service all the way. However, your airline has the most comfortable seats and service of any other airline. the one that comes close in leg room is American. the rest = cattle cars and blood clots.
- Donna Eddy
My husband and I always fly Midwest whenever we go on vacation. Part of the joy of a vacation is a good air travel experience. Comfortable seats, friendly service and pilots that we trust. We have tried cheap airlines in the past and there is no comparison to the comfort of Midwest airlines. I would rather pay a few dollars more (and it usually is only a few dollars since Midwest has many specials) than have to scrafice comfort and a pleasant trip. There are enough cheap airlines out there, we don't need another one. Midwest is special and unique, keep it that way! We love Midwest airlines!
- Barbara Zukowski
The last time I flew on Midwest, I took my two children with me. Since they are both under 2 years old (6 mo. and 22 mo), I was extremely concerned that I would encounter difficulty in traveling with them. However, the folks at Midwest were extremely helpful and alleviated my fears. Midwest employees helped us get into and out of the plane without a hitch. The pilot even attached the carseat to the airplane seat. In fact, when we arrived at our destination, my oldest child had fallen asleep in her carseat, so the pilot actually CARRIED MY CHILD OUT OF THE PLANE WHILE SHE WAS STILL IN HER CARSEAT (!!!) without waking her up. Pretty cool. I can't imagine that happening with any other airline.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Pope
- Jennifer Pope
Midwest Airlines is by far the "BEST AIRLINE" in the United States. I tell everyone I know how great they are and to fly them whenever they have a chance! They have come a long ways to build such a great reputation, don't let anything happen to the Midwest. They are the ones that keep me believing that other airlines will follow their lead when it comes to servicing the public!
- Dean Breuchel
Please remain strong in your fight to resist the hostile takeover by AirTran. The outstanding customer service, comfortable seating, and support for the Milwaukee community that Midwest Airlines provides is something that no other airline offers. I will NEVER fly AirTran, on principle, if they succeed in this attack.
- Kerry Saver
Let's keep 'our' Airline ours!
- Bob Trindade
For comfort, many direct flights and numorous travel specials you can't beat Midwest Airlines. That's what makes a perfect vacation
- Joseph Zukowski
I am happy to support the efforts of Midwest Airlines to fith the hostile take over by
Air Tran. I have been more than pleased with the service I have received from Midwest over the years. I have felt safe and well cared whenever I fly with you. I cannot say the same with Air Tran when I have had to utilize their services. Midwest Airlines is a model of good customer service, safety and home town support which every airline out there should try and model themselves. Thank you for fighting this take over and I look forward to flying with you again soon.
- Toni Kutner
Midwest Airlines still makes flying a pleasure. May your beautiful blue planes grace the skies for many more years into the future. P.S. Please go back to Signature Service on all your flights.
- John C. Bauer
I would hate to see Midwest Airlines sold to Air Tran. I have flown Midwest Airlines since it started. If there is a flight to where I am going, I always choose Midwest Airlines. I love the 2 x 2 seating; the great food (even though I now have to pay for it); and the pleasant, accomodating flight attendants. It is not many airlines that you see a flight attendant holding a baby so a young mother can eat.
Keep the great airline in Milwaukee.
- Elaine M. Parker
I hope you keep holding your stand on Midwest staying the "BEST CARE IN THE AIR". I have always had great service from everyone I have ever dealt with when dealing with Midwest from the gals on the phone, the check-in people, the stewardess and pilots. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
- Judy Wagner
I absolutely love Midwest and I fly your airline whenever possible. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years and over that time, I have become very spoiled by "the best care in the air." None of the other airlines can even come close to the outstanding service and creature comforts that you provide. Flying a substitute airline is always the last resort for me and the thought of you not existing any longer is heartbreaking to me. Please, please, please stay independent!
- Barbara A. Reilly
I know when we fly Midwest, I won't have to sit with my shoulders pulled up to accomodate the bigger people around me.
Thanks for giving me my space.
- Mary Acton
Please don't let Trans Air take over Midwest Airlines. After my last flight with another airlines ten years ago I felt so cramped I said I would never fly again. Then a friend told me about Midwest Airlines and I tried it. I was very pleased. It was one of the most relaxing flights I've ever had and now with flights going out to Seattle I believe I'll be flying more often. Thank you Midwest and I hope the shareholders tell TransAir to go away.
- Linda Dancker
Please don't let Trans Air take over Midwest Airlines. After my last flight with another airlines ten years ago I felt so cramped I said I would never fly again. Midwest Airlines is one of those "cut above" businesses that deserve our full support. I hate to think of the diluting of its quality by this company that is known for its "lesser" quality. "The best care in the air!" is not just a slogan; it is the truth. As a Milwaukee area citizen, I am among the 1000's of people proud to be able to say that Midwest is "our" airline! Air Tran, please just leave Midwest alone!
- Arlene M. Walczak
I can only hope that the finest care in the air will sustain all the money mongers in the industry. It is such a shame that when travelers finally have some comfort in their journey, that their is someone out there to take it away. I cannot imagine flying without the special kind attendants, wide leather seats and fresh cookies. My dogs and cats will be crying also, without the special care they are given on their flight. I have been flying with them for years and have appreciated the kindness Midwest has given them. Keep the faith Midwest Airlines, as I hope the best care in the air will prevail for many years to come
- Janice Borchardt
As a customer and a shareholder I have no intention of selling my shares. To me its not about the money, its about keeping Midwest, Midwest. You Rock!!!!!
- Cathryne Falk
Out of all the airlines that I have flown, I find that Midwest is "The Best Care in the Air". It is not only the cookie, it is the wonderful, caring crew as well. Thank You Midwest for a job well done.
'The Best Care in the Air"
- Eldeth Ruh
I really dig in my heels when it comes to MEH. I moved from MKE to TPA in 1972 (Dec) NWA was flying a DC-10 that season (it was there first DC-10 service). MEH has supported TPA with nonstop service to/from MKE as far back as I can remember and for this I am most appreciative. I own a small block of MEH that I will never surrender to airtran, never, never, never. YXNS2MKE
- Elmer Biedrzycki
Please do NOT give in to Trans Air! It would spoil everything that Midwest stands for. Midwest is ALWAYS my first choice to fly! Thank you.
- Constance Haugh
I think it would be a VERY BAD decision if Air Tran would merge with Midwest Airlines! I have never have flown on either one, but I know that Midwest is a far superior airline!! If there was a merger the high quality of customer service and the "hometown airline" would be lost!! When I travel I fly Northwest and I have always heard from people that flew on Midwest what a great experience that they had!! I'm totally against Air Tran buy out, keep Midwest independent!!
- Benjie Morelli
Flying on Midwest Airlines is always a treat - with or without the delicious chocolate chip cookies. As former Milwaukeans, our first choice is always to enjoy the excellent service and comfort provided by Midwest Airlines, whether we are taking one of our many trips to Milwaukee or any other Midwest Airlines destination. We will never set foot on an Air Tran plane! Please don't let them take over.
- Mary M. Little
We love you as you are...No take overs.
- Jo-Lynne Worley
This is MIDWEST AIRLINES - the last proud airline operating domestically today! I hope these creditors realize just what kind of airline we have at Midwest and what an AirTran takeover would do to it. It would be impossible for a discount airline to provide the customer service that is provided to all of us that pridefully fly Midwest for business and for pleasure. I'll connect in DETROIT on NWA before I fly AirTrash
- Tim Yost
My family and I are Midwest Airlines frequent flyers, and fly Midwest Airlines out of Minneapolis over all other choices! We have recommended Midwest to friends and co-workers and they have tried and love Midwest! We would love to see Kansas City service.
- Richard A.Kothenbeutel
I first experienced Midwest Airlines when I moved from PA to WI about ten years ago. Since then, I have flown with you guys whenever possible. Midwest is a gem and one of the best things about Milwaukee. Should a takeover bid occur, I will never fly AirTran. It is an airline I stay away from. Good luck!
- Daniel Fischer
I won't fly any other airlines but Midwest, if I have the choice. I'm tall and the legroom can't be beat! Okay, the cookies are really good, too. PLEASE don't let AirTran ruin Midwest by letting them take over!!
- Lori L. Pierce
good luck midwest-we(delta airlines) just made it thru a takeover attempt too-hang in there-you'll make it
- wendy krauss
I love you guys. You are as much a part of Milwaukee as is Solomon Juneau... You are part of our identity. You are our messenger and show the world that Milwaukee works hard, plays hard and believes in quality unequaled.
Air Trans is none of these things and it can be seen in the business ethics of the comparative CEOs of Hoeksema and Leonard...
Can there be an any more clear difference?
- Jennifer Lynn Morgan
I maybe a very small share holder but the only reason I am a shareholder is in order to vote NO to any take over bid.
- Cynthia Koffman
I fly Midwest every 2-3 months (with two kids!) b/w NYC/Newark area and Wisconsin. In all the years I've flown, I've never had a lost bag or a canceled flight. I've made it back to Appleton for the holidays through snowstorms, even taking off once from LaGuardia at 11:30 p.m. and still making it to Appleton by the early morning. I can't imagine having to resort to Northworst! Midwest is a superior experience - I would pay more for the ticket just for the care, convenience and the cookie!
- Kirsten Russler
When will people realize Airtran = Value Jet w/another name?
- James P. O'Brien
THE SERVICE AND QUALITY OF MIDWEST AIRLINES HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING SINCE IT CAME TO MILWAUKEE. WE ALL HOPE YOU STAY OUR HOME TOWN AIRLINE!KEEP UP THE GREAT SERVICE! THANKS!!
- ROBERT M. PIECHOWSKI
I just want to say that I love to fly Midwest and will choose Midwest over any other airline if it is an option for where I am going. I love the service, the care you get both on the ground and in the air, and the comfort of the 2 across seating. I also appreciate the corperate sponserships that Midwest provides to the Milwaukee community from the Midwest Airliines Center to the Milwaukee Bucks and the Milwaukee Brewers. Thank you, Midwest Airliines for being a truly wonderful part of Milwaukee.
- Ronald Brandt
It,s not just about reputation ,it,s about the team work
- tom gayer
Is everyone aware that Airtran is formerly known as Valuejet, the same company that had a couple of fatal plain crashes one of which was in the Florida Everglades and that they filed bankruptcy? Don't let them take over Midwest. You have a good thing going.
- Leah
I love MIDWEST EXPRESS, I use to stay in Milwaukee, WI. But I move close to Dallas, TX, and when I go home I only take those who have the best care in the air. bdmosley@hotmail.com
- Ben Mosley
Save the cookie! We need to stick together.
- Cookie Monster
Love your airline. Have flown on it 8 times this past year. It truly is the best care in the air. No other airline like it. We do not need another cookie cutter airline. Please do not sell.
- Doris Griffith
Stay independent. You do a great job. You have great fares and great service. Air tran does not have the same care and service as Midwest and you know they would not keep promises made. They haven't in other dealings. Stay the course!
- rose brandl
Dear Midwest Airlines,
Please keep up the good work in keeping the airline in Milwaukee. We are looking forward to our first flight on your airlines in November. We have heard many great things about your company. Please continue to fight hard to keep this great company in Milwaukee.
Thank you
Barbara and Gereld Schwartz

I've been flying Midwest more frequently this year after flying another airline pretty exclusively. Every time I fly Midwest, I'm impressed by the spirit of the people that work for Midwest and what great service they provide. Besides that, Midwest is the only airline that I would look forward to ordering food from. With each flight I'm reminded how comfortable the two across seats is and how much storage space is available above me and at my feet. Midwest Airlines is an airline that Milwaukee and Wisconsin can be proud of and I regularly tell my fellow frequent flyers about the chocolate chip cookies and the other experiences that I've had flying Midwest. As a customer, Airtran has nothing to offer me.
Please keep fighting the takeover!
- Tedd Snyder
For two years (1998-2000) I practically lived aboard Midwest commuting between BOS and MKE every week. I can truly say that Midwest was one of the only things that lessened the insanity of my on-site engagement. I loved flying with you guys and still, on occasion, choose to fly Midwest through Milwaukee when I have the opportunity even though I might have other options. The reason is because Midwest is a different, more pleasurable flying experience at fares that are comparable to other cattle-car airlines (like, for instance, AirTran....). I have been following the Midwest/AirTran battle since its outset and have been rooting for Midwest to remain independent all along the way. Thanks for giving us loyal customers a voice in this fight. Do all you can to resist this takeover. The airline industry needs Midwest as a model of how to run an airline the right way.
- Bud Sawatzky
You have got a terrific airline here. I have been a frequent flyer since 1989, please don't let Air Tran take over and mess up what you have successfully worked so hard to build. My wife and I enjoy so much flying with you, and do so whenever possible, you are the first airline we always check.
- Donald A. Luebke
I have flown with Midwest Airlines for many years. It truly is the best airline in the air. Milwaukee & surrounding counties are have been behind Midwest in its trouble times. I speak for many people, say good-bye to Air Trans.
Thank you Midwest for your comfortable flights & friendly service.
Sincerely,

I bought 100 shares of Midwest Stock so that at least those would never be owned by Air Tran. I like always flying "First Class." I will buy more stock.

My husband and I have booked flights to San Francisco in May and New York in July. I also plan on booking a business flight to St. Louis within the next week. I dread flying any airline except Midwest. If the merge with AirTran goes through Milwaukee will never have the same "home town" airline.

The phase "bigger is better" certainly isn't always true. Especially in this case.
The "Best Care in the Air" provided by Midwest Airlines is a result of its employees pride in their work and the fact that they all live and work in their home town.
We have all seen what happens when big companies open new stores in communities and drive the little guys out. The employees loyalty, pride and service offered its customers all decline.
I understand that investors are looking for a return on their money. As a customer I am looking for service and reliabliity.
That is why I fly Midwest Airlines!
Yes, I also like the cookies!

You ARE the "best care in the air", as all my friends and family have found out. We'll all be disappointed if we lose you. Thanks for rejecting the offer of AirTran.

Losing Midwest Airlines would be a loss of identity!

Midwest - Stand strong against this takeover. AirTran does not have the corporate culture or customer service and loyalty we need.
You know your customers and we're counting on you to Stand Strong!
- Cindy Laatsch
Midwest is the only airline we use. We are so happy with the wonderful service, the comfortable seating and of course the delicious chocolate chip cookies. Thank you Midwest, please dont leave us !!
- Gilbert Pacala
AirTran brings NOTHING of value to Midwest - let them find some other airline to screw up!
- Mike Harrington
During the huge February snowstorm, I was bumped from Midwest to Continental. Yes, the weather was bad, but but the Continental service was terrible. It had been a long time since I'd flown another domestic airline and I only wish you would take over Air Tran and spread those wonderful coo
